We can't wait for you to train with us!
I got Axel at 6 months old and he was very under-socialized. He was very fearful of people and things. It took months to get him out of his shell and it took a lot of time socializing him. He is now a lot better at meeting new people! He requires a lot of time and I had to gain his trust. He is a very adventurous dog who loves the water. He is now the sweetest boy once he gets to know you!
My family had gotten Valkyrie when she was eight weeks old. We quickly realized how smart she was. She is fearless and playful. She loves her ball and is devoted to my family. I taught her as many tricks as I could think of. She had grown my love for shepherds and dog training in general. This dog was the one who showed me what I was passionate about in life. She is a very independent but loving girl!
Hi! I am Madison Hall the owner of Kevlar Coaching! I'm going to share a few things about myself with you to make training with me a more personal experience. I grew up in a family that had always had dogs. I had many different breeds growing up from great danes to pitbulls. i had always loved animals and grew up reading a ton of books about all different kinds. When I was just starting middle school I went to a vet tech class to try and persue my dream of working with animals. Then later on when I was a sophomore in highschool I volunteered at an animal shelter for a year and a half taking care of all of the farm and some exotic animals. Around Christmas time of that year my family got a german shepherd puppy that we later named Valkyrie. I had trained Valkyrie from a puppy and had learned a lot from my dad. After searching for a course to take to help solidify my knowledge of dog training I came across a school that helped me learn about service dogs, pet dogs, and police k9's that was all the way down in North Carolina. I moved down, away from all family and friends, to North Carolina for six months to get my certificate in dog training. I graduated and got a medal for having the best scores for my detection dog training. While I was down in North Carolina during my course, I was surprised with a dog of my own. This was my first dog that I could train on my own and 100% my way. When he had come to me he was very fearful and had not seen much of the world. this took late nights and hours of socializing with people, noises, and places. This dog was the hardest dogs I have had to train but we have gotten to a very good place. I love training dogs and have made I focus on training methods that are balanced with using the four quadrents of operant conditioning. That just means that I use everything from positive reinforcement to negative punishment. I use treats, clickers, prong collars, and e-collars. My goal is to help the communication between the owner and the dog flourish. I want to set everyone up for success!
